I have a First Class BA degree in History from the University of Exeter. I have studied essay-based subjects throughout my education, and as a result have learned the skills necessary to achieve top marks (3rd year average of 76).

My tutoring approach is based on positive reinforcement theory, and ensures that students understand the fundamental skills necessary for an efficient and successful essay. This primarily include the ability to form a coherent and persuasive argument, as well having the clarity of thought to substantiate this.
Skills in constructing an argument form the basis of any good humanities essay, and a focus on the core principles surrounding these allows students to take the lessons learned from these tutorials, and apply them to their essays themselves.
