I have a degree in mathematics from CSUF. I have been a high school educator for 25 years. My expertise is being able to connect with a student to where they are at, level-wise and take them to a new place of understanding.

I stress the deep understanding of something, so that we aren't just memorizing steps. This may sound counter-intuitive to cramming before an examination, but if the student understands why he/she is making the mathematical moves that he/she is making, then comprehension and performance will increase.
