About Laura
I'm a high school valedictorian and passionate writer with 2 publications through Young Writers USA. Writing has always been more than a hobby for me—it's how I explore ideas, emotions, and stories that matter. I'm currently working on 2 books, continuing to develop my voice and craft as an author. When I work with students, I use de-schooling methods, which means learning doesn't have to feel like school, but discovery. I encourage kids through curiosity, creativity, conversation, and play, using storytelling, journaling, music, nature, and real-life experiences. My goal is to help kids feel confident, inspired, and joyful about learning.

My tutoring approach is shaped by my love for reading and writing. As a high school valedictorian and a published writer with Young Writers USA, I bring strong language skills and creativity into every session. I teach using unique, interest related methods, keeping students engaged in learning. These lessons are for students K-12 with struggles in English, whether that be spelling, essay writing, creative writing, or reading.
