About Sally

I have spent a lifetime providing empowering lessons to students. I have coached students for entry into Oxford and Cambridge and to students who struggle with confidence and with the technical skills required to do their best in English exams. I am determined to do the best for you and to ensure that you succeed in whatever area of this subject you need a little extra help.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching is to ensure that all concepts and skills are broken down into thought-provoking, but easily digestible learning bites. I use a range of resources and approaches to vary the lessons and to ensure that we can find an approach that suits your learning style and interests.

Perfect! Sally really helped me gain my confidence for english GCSE and helped me put my skills into practice. With her I was able to understand how to answer the english language questions to fit what the examiners are looking for. She helped me find a specific structure to answer each question allowing me to answer each question correctly and confidentley during my english GCSE. She spent time helping me hone my language analysis skills and used exercises allowing me to develop and creative writing. She is kind and friendly always happy to see you and work through any difficulties you may have. Will Year 11

This first lesson offered with Sally will allow you to get to know each other and clearly specify your needs for your next lessons.

£35 per hour - includes at least 1 hour prep in addition to the hour spent with my student each week.

£15 Homework Package:
For this rate, I will set a tailored and lengthy homework task that will be emailed using a powerpoint format that will include a range of supporting slides and references.
I will mark and provide detailed feedback including identification of strengths and weaknesses and where relevant, I will provide model paragraphs for the future.
The feedback will be directly connected to the mark scheme of the exam board the student is studying; eg: AQA, Cambridge iGCSE, WJEC etc.

You can request more than one £15 Homework Package a week, or request homework fortnightly or just occasionally, for example, in advance of a particular exam or assessment. This is entirely up to you to decide and the frequency can be changed or paused whenever you like.
