About Ms Charlotte
With 25 years of teaching experience across a variety of school communities, there aren’t many educational challenges I have yet to encounter. Time has not dulled my enthusiasm and joy in witnessing and contributing to the development of young people. I approach failure with a healthy growth mindset to exploit the opportunity to deepen learning this way. I have a personal passion for psychology so share a wealth of strategies for coping with pressure, anxiety and hard times. My behaviour management is trauma-informed and supportive with firm boundaries and humane kindness. Above all, I am here to support you. Please do not hold back in sharing anything that makes you feel uncomfortable so that I can help. I understand that your learning journey thus far may have left you with some unhelpful thoughts about yourself or learning and am ready to help you rewrite your learning future. As a neurodivergent learner myself, I am especially skilled in supporting others with ADHD and / or Autism.

My lessons are accessible and challenging with plenty of support for a variety of learner needs. I am highly enthusiastic, and aim to motivate learners to achieve their best.
All of my materials and resources are well-researched and targeted for the learners’ needs. I use effective presentation with Rosenshine’s Ten Principles of Learning. Lessons last between 60-75 minutes. Feedback is regular and personalised. I have years of experience in tutoring individual students and small groups to overcome their learning barriers to boost their exam grades. I teach across Key Stage 3 and 4, and can also tutor mature students for GCSE English or Literature retakes.
