About Hollie
I am published historian with 13 years experience of teaching and tutoring students from a wide-range of backgrounds.
I have taught maths and english to A-level and history at undergraduate level.
My love for learning has always rubbed off on my students... I have a proven track of helping students achieve their desired grades and gain entry to top universities, whilst encouraging a pro-active approach to their studies.
Since graduating on 2009, I have developed excellent teaching strategies and I have had the privilege of teaching 500+students.
I am friendly and approachable and I emphasise a student- led approach.

Lessons centre the student; emphasising a passion for learning and a pro-active attitude, whilst following the national curriculum where applicable.
The development of core skills are embedded throughout the planned activities. A thematic approach is adopted to contextualise the learning.
Lesson length is also determined by the student. For example, for primary school students, there is a maximum length of one hour with an emphasis on shorter tasks. Whereas, for GCSE, A-level or undegrad students, a longer lesson is usually advised.
I have 13 years teaching experience in mainstream, education, specialist provision and university. I hold a diploma in higher education teaching.
