About Francis
After reading history at Oxford I went into construction project management and was developing very large energy projects in S-E Asia when the 1997-8 credit crunch there encouraged a career switch. I re-trained at London University, becoming a Qualified Teacher in 2001. I taught Economics and Business Studies for 14 years at a large comprehensive, becoming KS5 Coordinator for these subjects and advising many VI formers on University entrance.
I have examined Economics and Business A Levels for three exam boards. Five years ago I started online ‘pro bono’, teaching a complete AS course to a student who had become too ill to attend school. Since then I gradually moved across to tutoring online, now full time. I only tutor Economics and Business, two closely linked subjects.
