About Jyoti

With over 12 years of experience teaching Mathematics across both NCEA and Cambridge curricula, I have helped students of varying abilities achieve their academic goals, from building foundational skills to attaining Excellence-level results. My extensive classroom experience has given me a deep understanding of curriculum requirements, assessment expectations, and common areas where students need additional support.

Throughout my career, I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds and learning needs, enabling me to adapt my teaching to suit each individual. I have successfully prepared students for internal and external assessments, examinations, scholarship pathways, and university entrance requirements.

As a practicing secondary school Mathematics teacher, I stay up to date with curriculum developments and assessment changes, ensuring students receive accurate and relevant guidance. Parents and students appreciate my professional, patient, and supportive approach, as well as my commitment to helping every learner reach their full potential.

About the lesson

As a qualified secondary Mathematics teacher with experience teaching Years 9-13 and NCEA /Cambridge Levels 1, 2, and 3, I provide personalised lessons tailored to each student's learning needs and goals. My teaching approach focuses on building confidence, strengthening mathematical understanding, and developing effective problem-solving strategies through clear explanations and guided practice.

Lessons are typically 60-90 minutes long and include a combination of concept teaching, worked examples, exam-style questions, and targeted revision. I regularly monitor progress and adapt lessons to suit each student's pace and learning style.

I have extensive experience teaching the New Zealand Curriculum and preparing students for NCEA/Cambridge assessments. My lessons are suitable for students in Years 9-13, including those who need extra support, wish to improve their grades, or aim for Excellence in NCEA Mathematics.

Available for both online and in-person tutoring across Auckland. My goal is to help students gain confidence, improve results, and develop a positive attitude towards Mathematics.
