About Jacky

I am an extremely passionate educator who loves nothing more than seeing students progress and achieve! Working one on one with students in a private tutor capacity is most rewarding. I truly get to know the student as a learner and share every success!

About the lesson

I have over 12 years full time primary teaching experience, including 2 years teaching in the UK. For the last 6 years, I have been working as a full time primary teacher at a private school in Sydney. I was trained and qualified at Macquarie University and I am currently registered as a proficient teacher with the NSW Education Standards Authority.

I believe in a holistic approach to education, research shows that through emotional intelligence and a growth mindset, we can build children up to engage and motivate them.

My approach combined with my thorough understanding of the NSW syllabus and curriculum outcomes, I can help your child identify areas of strength and areas for improvement. Together we can set achievable academic goals and track progress.

I am an extremely flexible educator and I am happy to meet the needs of your child on an ongoing basis. This can include working on homework tasks, assessments, mentoring when faced with struggles and working towards goals.

I provide progress reports after each session pertaining to what skills and concepts were covered and how your child progressed.

I have extensive experience in teaching via the online platform ‘Zoom’, if this is something that suits you and your family. Alternatively, I am located in Lugarno (2210) for tutoring sessions. I do also offer tutoring services in your home, a small additional fee may be required depending on your location.

Pre-purchase 1 term (10 sessions) and attract a 10% discount.

I have a current Working with Children Check. The Working With Children Check (WWCC) is a requirement for anyone who works or volunteers in child-related work in NSW. It involves a National Police Check (criminal history record check) and a review of reportable workplace misconduct.
