About Sophie
I am a French native and I have been teaching students ( children through to adults) for 15 years in France and in the UK. I have taught across a number of industries from education, finance, food & beverage and government. I've been teaching the national curriculum ( new GCSE and new A level included) as well as preparing students for the DELF following the Common European Framework for Languages
I see myself as a very effective educator with a proven record covering many years of discipline, instilling fun into my lessons/ courses as it is essential to enjoy learning to progress! I believe it's not possible to master a language without speaking it so I plan my lesson with the four core skills in my mind but with a special focus on productive oral skill. I also believe that a language is more than grammar and vocabulary, its a culture, a history and I always include cultural awareness in my lessons.

Sophie was my French teacher for 2 years on a one to one basis. I needed to learn French for my work and I had regular (3 times per week sessions) to get up to speed quickly. Sophie was brilliant. Very friendly and approachable and an exceptional teacher. She created lots of material specifically for me and it really helped to improve my French. I really can't recommend her enough.
