About Eleanor

I am a CELTA and PTTLS trained and qualified teacher with over seven years experience including being a Regional Director of Studies for three years managing and training over 20 teachers.

I have extensive experience with children and teenagers from birth to A-Level. I have written a national English curriculum for teenagers used in Italy, France and Spain and performed teacher training to over 100+ teachers. During this process I have engaged with many teenagers and have a unique understanding of this age group.

During my time as a Regional Director of Studies I also prepared and wrote exam preparation courses for Cambridge Language Exams, IELTS & TOEFL.

I also have extensive experience in English for specific purposes including: Legal, Medical and Business English in various corporate settings (as ESL). I have been an Account Manager for large private universities and written several business case studies. I have lectured on various business topics ranging from Supply Chain Management to Marketing and Sustainability.

About the lesson

I have taught all ages from Pre-school to adults at all levels of learning and very much enjoy helping students progress to reach their goals and targets. I have had a broad and extensive experience in teaching for various purposes and used many methodologies such as the Communicative Method and CLIL.

I believe that learning should be enjoyable and I have developed a range of different techniques and skills to engage students of all ages in various subjects. It is vital that students are engaged in the learning process but also have independence and responsibility, I offer practical support in helping to achieve this. My methodology also supports students to discover their particular learning styles.

I have performed hundreds of level tests and oral tests under exam conditions and am extremely well equipped to prepare students for any type of exam. I believe that exams are about strategy and understanding structure and I have been successful in teaching this during my years of teaching.
