About Shabina
I'm an international school teacher and have over 14 years of teaching experience - 10 years in Singapore, 2 years in the UK and 2 in China....I speak fluent, near-native level English. I've taught in IB, IGCSE and ICSE schools and worked with children of many nationalities.
I am committed to ensuring you score in your IGCSE exams. I will focus on Directed Writing, Summary Writing and Writer's Effect strategies to ensure that you are writing exactly the kind of answers that Cambridge examiners dream of reading!

I am result-focused but not at the expense of enjoyment. I believe that children learn best when they're having fun. Once a concept is introduced, I will have my groups work on projects where they have to apply what they learned. Often I play games where they have to use the concepts they learned about to win for their teams.
I like to work with small groups as my experience has shown that students who work collaboratively in teams show exponential growth.
As a teacher, I keep my talking to a minimum, facilitating more student talk so that it is THEY who learn to think and reason. I enjoy working with teenagers up to Grade 10 as they are receptive, committed and very interactive. Well, usually anyway :)

First session free (30 mins) If you sign up, advance payment is required for the first four sessions.
If I miss a turn or cancel a class, I will adjust the same at a mutually convenient time. If you cancel a class 24 hours before the pre-decided time, I will do the same. If you cancel at shorter notice, the fee will not be adjusted or refunded.
