About Reece
With over four years of teaching experience across all Humanities subjects, I’ve developed a deep commitment to fostering critical thinking and a love for learning in my students. My expertise in Philosophy and Buddhism reflects my passion for exploring complex ideas and encouraging others to think deeply about the world around them. Volunteering with refugees to teach functional skills has strengthened my empathy and reinforced my belief in the power of education to change lives. As a Head of Department for Religious Education and Philosophy, I’ve honed my leadership and communication skills, learning how to adapt my approach to meet diverse learning needs. My lessons are tailored to fit your level. I start with testing your knowledge then using my expertise and content to then help build upon that. I have been a teacher for 4 years (11-18) and that has included leading a department and also working in the pastoral department which helps in building rapport and helping you to reach your best of your capabilities. The length of a lesson should be 40-50 mins so that you do not have an overload of information but also so that you remain focused and learn. At the end we will test your knowledge in the form of extended writing to ensure you then have info to independently use this in your studies or other aspects of life.
