About Dana

I am a 3rd year Medical student at the University of Southampton, with over 3 years of experience delivering online Biology tuition. I achieved the highest A-Level Biology mark in the world, with full UMS in 5/6 papers, alongside A* grades in Biology and Chemistry, and A grades in Mathematics at A level. I achieved A grades in Physics and Psychology at AS level. I also achieved grade 9s in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics at GCSE.

I teach GCSE, A-Level and IB Biology, working with students of varying abilities - from those aiming to pass to those targeting top grades. My lessons are typically 1 hour long and conducted online.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on simplifying complex concepts into clear, logical steps, followed by active recall, exam-style questions, and targeted feedback. I place strong emphasis on exam technique, helping students understand how to apply knowledge effectively to mark schemes. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether that is improving confidence, consolidating content, or achieving top grades.

Over the past three years, I have developed structured and efficient online teaching methods to keep lessons engaging and productive, ensuring students make consistent progress.

One of my friends recommended Dana to me when I was in Year 12, and she was absolutely amazing. When we did our sessions for A-level biology, she explained everything so clearly and would always double-check that I fully understood the content. After class, she would always send me the notes to go over. She was so supportive, and I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a good biology tutor.

Dana tutored me for over a year and taught me how to revise more thoroughly. She helped me through recap and told me what I remember and what I do not remember. Because of that, I was able to recall my material better. She is also patient when you struggle with a topic. Would definitely recommend.
