About Nam

I’m a motivated and enthusiastic student currently studying at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys Sixth Form. With a strong passion for mathematics and learning, I’m eager to share my knowledge and help others reach their full potential. Having achieved top grades myself, I understand the challenges students face and the dedication required to excel. Tutoring gives me the opportunity not only to build valuable teaching and communication skills but also to inspire confidence in others and guide them towards achieving their dream grades. My goal is to make maths enjoyable, approachable, and rewarding for every student I teach.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach focuses on building a strong understanding of key mathematical concepts before moving on to targeted exam practice. Each lesson lasts around an hour and takes place online. I have previous experience teaching maths to students preparing for their 11+ and GCSE exams (AQA or OCR). My sessions are aimed at those aspiring to achieve top grades—7, 8, or 9. I use a combination of clear explanations, interactive examples, and regular practice papers to develop both confidence and exam technique. Lessons are structured to identify weaknesses early, reinforce strengths, and help students think critically through challenging problems.
