Hi I’m Paisley! Choosing me to be your tutor would not only mean helping you to be the best academic version of yourself, but you will also gain skills to use in many aspects of your personal life. I would not say I am just a tutor—I am someone who is willing to listen, guide, and work with you through various situations. In my opinion, being a high school student is not a setback, it gives me the upper hand when trying to understand how I can better help you. I have taken high levels of English all throughout high school and am a peer tutor for other students at my high school. As an English tutor, my lessons are designed to strengthen students’ reading, writing, grammar, and critical thinking skills in a supportive and engaging environment. I will work with each student to build confidence and mastery through personalized instruction and practical strategies they can apply across subjects.
Lessons will begin with a short warm-up or review, followed by focused work on areas such as essay writing, literary analysis, reading comprehension, grammar, or vocabulary, depending on the student’s goals. I use clear explanations, model strong writing techniques, and encourage active discussion to help students think more deeply about texts and express themselves more clearly in writing.
Whether preparing for an assignment, revising an essay, or improving foundational skills, I aim to help students feel more prepared, thoughtful, and confident in their English abilities.
