Unlike in traditional classrooms, where the teacher must divide their attention among many students, tutoring offers a chance to focus solely on the individual needs of the learner. I take the time to understand each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning style, tailoring lessons accordingly. Whether a student learns best through visual aids, hands-on activities, or detailed explanations, I adapt my methods to ensure they are comfortable and engaged in their learning process. I make sure they fully understand each topic before moving on to the next.
I can tutor kids from middle school (6th-8th grade sometimes lower or higher depending on the subject). In a lesson, we would first do a brief warm up and review basic arithmetic concepts and past lessons. Then, we would read the lesson and I would give simple explanations when needed. We would also do some practice problems together to fully understand the concept. Then we would solve different types of problems involving the concept. After, he/she would do some problems of their own and I would check them, if there are any mistakes we would go over them together and correct them. Then at the very end we would do a quick review on what we just learned and I’d ask a few questions to see if he/she truly understood the lesson.
