About Joanna
I'm a current high-school student in the top 10% of my graduating class. I have had experience with tutoring since my freshman year of high school. As the cofounder and instructor of a nonprofit art organization, I have created lesson plans and worked with children of grades 5-15. I also currently tutor a middle-school student in math and English as part of my school's tutoring club, which I am the secretary for.

My teaching approach is that I first ask the students about themselves to get to know them. Then, I usually ask how well they know the subject, and I will give them practice problems and ask questions. From there, I can pinpoint where the students are having trouble and can figure out what they're confused about. I try to ask the student what type of learner they are, and I give 100% of my effort into the tutoring. I want to make this tutoring experience comfortable and educational for the student.
