About Sebastien
I'm a student in high school who has been teaching students for the past two years. I'm well-versed in all the maths content covered in high school (including supplemental math in IB or AP programs), and I have taught materials from all high school levels. I also have experience teaching 1st year university math content.

I try to focus my teaching on strengthening a student's logic and understanding of basic concepts, as then it's often easier for them to move forward in STEM subjects. Many curricula gravitate to memorization of formulas, or stock word problems which students work through - in the end this just results in frustration for many students. A typical class will start by asking what the student has most recently learned in school, and if they've had any issues with it. If so, we go back to the previous concepts that this current topic relies on, to see where the gap in their understanding may stem from. Starting at that point, we eventually build up to the specific topic they're currently doing.
