About Megan
Well, I'm just a high schooler who loves to teach people new things and explore the world. I'm always looking for ways to improve myself and help others along the way. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, reading books, and traveling to new places. I believe that kindness and empathy are key to making the world a better place for everyone. Overall, I'm just grateful for each day and all the opportunities that come my way.

My Basic Lesson Plan
Objective: To improve the student's reading and comprehension skills in English.
Materials Needed:
- A leveled reading book appropriate for the student's reading level
- Highlighters
- A notebook and pen
Warm-Up Activity:
- Start the session by asking the student to read a short passage from the book out loud.
- After reading, ask the student to summarize what they just read in their own words.
Main Activity:
- Have the student read a more extended passage from the book independently.
- Ask the student to highlight any unfamiliar words or phrases.
- Discuss the unfamiliar words with the student, and help them understand the meaning in context.
- Ask the student to summarize the passage in writing, using their own words.
Cool-Down Activity:
- End the session by having the student read a short passage from the book out loud again.
- Ask the student to reflect on what they learned during the session and write down any questions they have for next time.
Assessment:
- Keep track of the student's progress by comparing their summaries and writing samples from each session.
- Provide feedback and encouragement for improvement.
Homework:
- Assign the student to read several pages in the book before the next session.
- Ask the student to write a summary of what they read, including any unfamiliar words and their meanings
I'm happy to help with any school-related questions or problems you might have. I'm still in high school myself, but I'm confident that I can assist with any grade level that's not above high school. Just let me know how I can help!
