My Tutoring Approach
Teaching Method and Techniques: I focus on a personalized, student-centered approach that caters to individual learning styles. I incorporate real-world applications of math and physics to make concepts relatable and engaging. Using interactive tools, visual aids, and problem-solving exercises, I encourage active participation and critical thinking.
Typical Lesson Plan:
Assessment: Begin with a brief review of previous material to gauge understanding.
Introduction: Introduce the new topic with a relatable real-world example.
Concept Explanation: Break down complex concepts into manageable parts using visuals and analogies.
Guided Practice: Work through problems together, encouraging students to verbalize their thought processes.
Independent Practice: Assign problems for the student to solve independently while providing support as needed.
Review and Feedback: Discuss what was learned, clarify any misunderstandings, and provide constructive feedback.
What Sets Me Apart: My background as an engineering student allows me to provide insights into the practical applications of math and physics, which often makes learning more relevant and interesting. I prioritize building a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Additionally, I offer flexible scheduling and tailored lesson plans that evolve based on the student's progress.
Who the Lessons Are For: I tutor middle to high school students (grades 6-12) in math and physics, whether they are struggling with foundational concepts or looking to excel in advanced topics. My lessons cater to various levels, including honors courses and AP classes, and are suitable for students preparing for standardized tests or seeking to improve their overall academic performance.
