About Pooja
I am a high school senior with excellent grades and test scores in difficult college-level or honors classes from a competitive high school. I have worked as a tutor in Kumon for four years, teaching and tailoring every lesson to multiple elementary or middle schoolers. I am dedicated to making sure that any child I teach is able to avoid the confusion and frustration I had to once face when learning math or science in the past.

As a tutor, I ensure that the student is fully assisted by using strategies such as showing them the basis or explanation for a concept. I help them understand how a formula is derived or what importance it holds to fully understand it. I use whiteboards to illustrate examples of concepts and my thinking process. I also understand what the high schooler may be feeling or going through as I am a high schooler myself, which will help mitigate any frustrations. My lessons are primarily for anyone from elementary to high school.
