About Kaushal

My name is Kaushal, and I’m a high school senior with extensive experience working one-on-one with students. I’ve had the privilege of tutoring at well-known centers like Kumon, where I helped students improve their skills, and I’ve also been part of my high school’s tutoring center. Through these roles, I’ve developed a strong understanding of how to tailor my teaching to different learning styles and needs.

About the lesson

Teaching Method and Techniques: I like to keep things simple and adaptable. Every student learns differently, so I make sure to adjust my teaching style based on what works best for them. Whether they need help with grammar, vocabulary, or writing, I break down concepts step by step. I focus on making the material relatable and encourage students to think critically. Sessions are interactive—I’m big on discussions, working through examples together, and allowing students to ask lots of questions. This way, learning feels more like a conversation than a lecture.

Typical Lesson Plan:

Warm-Up: We’ll usually start with a quick review of last time's material or chat about a topic of interest, just to get into the flow.
Core Lesson: This is where we dive into the new material—whether it's understanding a tricky grammar rule or tackling essay writing. I’ll explain things with examples, and we’ll work through some exercises together.
Practice & Application: Students will then put what they've learned into action—through reading passages, fixing sentences, or writing something creative.
Feedback & Wrap-Up: We’ll go over their work, I’ll give feedback, and we’ll talk about areas to improve. I’ll also make sure they know what to focus on next.
What Sets Me Apart: What makes my approach unique is how I create a relaxed, encouraging atmosphere where students feel comfortable. I understand that English can be challenging, especially when it comes to writing, so I work to boost both their skills and their confidence. I’ve had experience tutoring younger students and know how to simplify things without losing depth. Plus, my own background in advanced English classes helps me guide students through tricky areas with practical strategies.
