About Livie
From a young age, I have loved literature, including poetry, memoirs, fiction, and nonfiction, which naturally led to my passion for writing. I have taken multiple English classes every semester of high school, allowing me to build a strong foundation in reading, writing, and literary analysis. During my junior year, I worked as a teacher’s assistant for my school’s creative writing elective, where I supported students with brainstorming, drafting, and refining their work. I have also been a middle school writing tutor for two years, helping students strengthen their confidence and skills across different types of writing. I understand how a student perspective can be helpful for explaining concepts in a relatable way, and I strive to make learning feel approachable, encouraging, and achievable for every student.

My lessons are designed for elementary, middle school, and high school students, providing support in both academic and creative writing projects. I focus on explaining concepts in a clear, easy-to-understand way so students feel comfortable asking questions and experimenting with ideas. I am a patient tutor who adapts each lesson to the student’s learning style and goals. A typical lesson includes reviewing current writing, discussing assignment expectations or prompts, strengthening grammar and sentence structure, and developing ideas through guided revision and brainstorming. I give purposeful, constructive feedback that helps improve not only the current assignment but future writing as well. I value being personable and building genuine connections with my students.
