About Lorelei
I’m a senior in high school from the greater Philadelphia area and I adore working with kids! I’ve attended private school my entire life and maintained at least a 3.7 GPA (out of 4) for the entirety of HS. I’m an aspiring psychology student (in college!) and I’d love to work with children in the future. I’m a big reader, a great writer, and I believe that kids can be really great with words with just a little practice. I’ve been in advanced English classes for all of HS and I’ve tutored kids in English of all ages and children with learning disabilities too! I can also work privately. I’ve been a tutor since my freshman year in English, French, and Science and I’m also a riding instructor outside of the school setting. I like to gauge what kids need and help them out with whatever they need the most. I focus on guided learning and ensure that kids are doing majority of the work. I take things slow and personalize lessons/materials to make things more engaging. For example, one of my students really liked video games, so I educated myself on a few of his favorite games and incorporated them into my French sessions with him.

Hi! Online lessons are discounted because there isn’t travel, but depending on how far I’m travelling the price may go up (gas is ridiculously expensive!) but it won’t ever be above $15. We can discuss what options are best! Bundles are available and are cheaper if you buy tutoring hours in bulk :)
