As a tutor, I focus on breaking math down into simple, understandable steps while encouraging strong critical thinking skills. My teaching method is friendly, patient, and centered around creating a student-to-student environment that feels natural and comfortable. Because I am currently a high school senior taking AP Calculus and have earned A’s in Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Precalculus — plus dual enrollment experience in College Algebra and Statistics — I bring a fresh, relevant perspective to math that younger students connect with easily.
A typical lesson with me takes place over Zoom on Fridays. We start by going over homework, questions, and any confusing topics, and then we practice similar problems together. I make sure students understand why each step works, not just how to do it. If one explanation doesn’t click, I always find another way to explain it — my goal is to make math feel logical rather than overwhelming.
What sets me apart is my genuine desire to help others feel confident in math and my ability to explain concepts in a relatable, down-to-earth way. I’m also still learning advanced math myself, which allows me to provide guidance that feels current and realistic for today’s students.
My lessons are designed for middle schoolers and high school students who want a patient tutor, a supportive atmosphere, and a clear, step-by-step approach to mastering Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2.
