About Cece

I am a high school student myself and hope to tutor and work with you as a peer. I have a 4.7 GPA and I have spent more than 50 hours this past school year tutoring in a variety of subjects will grades K-12. The experience of such is a great joy to me, and I have the skill set and professionalism to tutor in the best way I can. I truly believe that everyone is more capable than they know. Even as I navigate my own academic journey, I can assure you that I can help you with your own, and the hard-work we do will pay off:)

About the lesson

Chemistry itself is an entirely new language to learn - there’s an array of complex concepts, strange math, and foreign vocabulary. Overall, we all know it’s not easy, and that’s why my goal is to navigate that path with you.

I offer support to chemistry students in high school at the AP, Honors, and General level. I am in high school myself and have successfully completed both Honors and AP Chemistry with A’s in both. As a student myself, know that I understand your mindset and/or any frustration you may be experiencing. We will work together as peers and I can assure you that your understanding will grow, as I will cater to YOUR unique learning style.

Depending on the type of your Chemistry class and needs, what a typical lesson looks like will vary. Communication with me is key, as I will thoroughly address and work through any specific concepts, homework problems, MCQS/FRQs, practice tests etc. As we continue with lessons, we can progress together and create a unique plan for you. This plan will consist of focuses for each lesson and goals to meet within your class after the lessons.

If you are a more visual learner, I will demonstrate any of these specifics with live writing/diagrams/math, as well as the processes to work through these. For AP Chemistry I have many example problems, and can work through specific examples needed for Honors and General Chemistry. For more auditory learners, I also have presentations prepared for the majority of general high school chemistry overview that I will present to you to guide your understanding. Additionally, something that is proven to help students are mnemonic devices, which I can assure you I have MANY of that helped me learn.
