About Stéphane

Hi! I am a musician who taught music in high school for 12 years and also gave private lessons for longer than I can remember! I studied classical guitar in university, played in a variety of rock and country bands, and taught everything from theory and composition, to history and most common string, wind and percussion instruments! Yup, that's a lot of Music! :) I have taught music to students from 6 years of age to over 80, of varying skill levels, and of different religious and ethnic backgrounds; in short, I've got quite a bit of experience. If you're looking for a compassionate teacher with a lot of experience, who's still interested in teaching, and who'll make sure you understand and succeed, then look no further. Let's jam!

About the lesson

Right now, you're probably wondering what a lesson with me looks like? First, I like to verify your knowledge and build from there. I won't waste your time with things you already know. My strengths are being able to explain things in a way that make sense to you. I want to make sure you understand; I won't just overstuff your head with knowledge and send you packing! Also, I won't force you to learn things, styles or techniques you don't want. I want these lessons to be useful for you while being so fun you'll forget you're actually learning. So, let's get started, shall we?
