About Hiok Hng
I am a High School Math Teacher and Tutor who has worked in both Toronto and Calgary for the last 3 years. I have worked with students of all ages and skill levels, although I specialize in teaching upper year Mathematics. I believe that building a strong foundation in Mathematics, as well as being authentic and approachable, is key to helping my students succeed.

I use scaffolding techniques to help you connect the old and new knowledge together, and curate a custom lesson plan each session based on your current needs. I am known as being approachable and authentic in my techniques, helping my students achieve their goals by ensuring their learning environment is friendly and welcoming. I work primarily with Grades 7 to 12 in Mathematics, and have experience with all skill levels!
