About Erin
I am a 20-year public educator located in Canada. I have taught internationally in Kenya and China. I am a 2023 recipient of the Governor General of Canada Award for Teaching Excellence. I have helped thousands of students graduate high school and get accepted into college and university post-secondary education programs. My instructional design is student-centered developed around the students' goals and needs. I develop resources and activities to help students consolidate their learning and apply the skills they are developing.

I provide academic coaching for students looking to improve reading comprehension and fluency as well as students interested in refining their writing skills. I have some work experience in publishing prior to starting a career in education. I assist students with emerging literacy skills with the development of their phonological awareness and understanding the mechanics of reading. I also have extensive experience working with pre-college/university students to develop essay writing skills such as formulating a thesis, integrating quotations, referencing sources, implementing appropriate patterns of development, etc.
