About Kavi

Since I was young, I have strived to become a teacher and have been heavily influenced by my family of educators. A myriad of experiences teaching in various environments has led to my pursuit in becoming a primary school teacher. My personal attributes has well-suited me for the tutoring and education fields as I believe I demonstrate skills beyond acamedia - patience, confidence and organisation.

From over 330+ hours of tutoring experience with 10 students ranging from 6-18 years old, my techniques typically involve a conversation with the student and parents to ascertain key goals for the student, and teaching methodology varies depending on age. Younger students will typically have more activity-based lessons to strengthen foundational skills, whereas students in high-school focus on exam-technique and consolidating knowledge. A typical lesson will take 1 hour, including teaching and revising concepts, attempting practice questions, and assigning potential homework to further build on skills outside of classes. My lessons are tailored to the student and as such will be different depending on their level of ability, age, personality, and the subject they take.
