About Jessica
I have been teaching IB chemistry and mathematics courses for two years. Prior to working as a teacher full-time, I earned my masters degree in chemistry from Yale University. During graduate school, I discovered my passion for teaching working with college students as well as leading science camps for middle school students in the area.

I am enthusiastic about teaching higher level chemistry classes (AP or IB curricula). I also have a background teaching various areas of high school math (trigonometry, algebra, geometry). During a typical lesson, I like to explain a topic, show an example problem, guide my students as they work through an example problem, and then provide feedback as students work independently. Chemistry in particular lends itself to incorporating lots of fun videos, demonstrations, simulations, and anecdotes.
