About Ronald
I have been teaching Mathematics for the last twenty years at both the high school and college levels. In the high school setting, I have experience teaching all core classes along with AP Statistics and AP Calculus AB. In 2001, I received a Master's in Mathematics Education from Grand Canyon University and started teaching as an adjunct professor shortly after. It has been my experience that students struggle due to having a weak foundation. Over the course of my teaching career, I have grown very adept at helping students discover where their weaknesses lie. Once identified, I work with the student to bridge those gaps which allows them to have more confidence and enjoyment with Mathematics.

Teaching for me comes down to personalizing the content, making it engaging, and being receptive to student needs. Over the years, I have become adept at breaking down difficult concepts into their component pieces which allows me to see where any disconnections may be occurring. From here, I can help to build a stronger foundation from which to grow on. I also give immediate feedback which guards against continuing down wrong paths. My lessons are geared for older high school students and first year college students.
