About Ethan
I am a student that is currently in between 2nd and 3rd year of my BSc.-- my 4th year will be completed at a university that only requires 25% residency for a BSc., but my first 3 years are being done at my local community college. My schooling in the sciences stemmed from my fascination with the human body and health, which naturally led me to pursuing the path of physiotherapy.
In my free time, I love playing video games and other tabletop games like chess, and I also enjoy a good workout to keep my body and brain in shape!

My tutoring methodology that I have learned from my experience as a Peer Tutor with my college is that explaining a concept to a student is not enough in of itself-- the best way for a student to learn is for the tutor to set up the environment in such a way that encourages the student to work through the problems themselves. In a way, I believe that as a tutor, I should serve as the "guider" and "guide rails" for a meeting, rather than the "teacher" or "professor". And, in some situations where even I don't know the answer right away, we find the answer together as a team.
Because of this ideology, I don't make super structured lesson plans, but I do request that students send me the topics they want to work on and some practice problems to ensure that I am fresh in the topic and can guide them without misleading them (and also, so that THEY know what they are coming in for-- I have many a time seen a student who has come in for tutoring and realized they didn't actually know what they needed help with)
