About Jasnoor Kaur

My name is Jasnoor Kaur, and I am a dedicated tutor specializing in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and introductory Programming for students from Year 7 to Year 12, including VCE and SAT preparation.

I have a strong academic background, including a 1540 SAT score, with consistently high results in mathematics and science. I have gained practical teaching experience through peer mentoring in Year 12, online SAT Math tutoring with students from diverse international backgrounds, and my current role as a programming peer mentor and teaching assistant supporting first-year university students.

I take a structured and supportive approach to tutoring, focusing on clear explanations and building a strong understanding of core concepts. I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and working through challenges at their own pace.

I am reliable, well-prepared, and committed to helping students improve both their academic performance and confidence over time.

About the lesson

Hey, I’m Jasnoor Kaur. I tutor Math, Physics, Chemistry and beginner Programming for students from Year 7 to Year 12 (including VCE and SAT Math).

My style is pretty simple. I make things make sense. A lot of students struggle because they’re memorizing steps without understanding why they’re doing them. I focus on breaking things down clearly, showing patterns, and helping you actually get it so you can solve questions on your own.

In lessons, we usually go through your school work, fix weak areas, and practice exam-style questions. I’ll guide you step by step at first, then gradually push you to think independently so you build confidence.

Lessons are usually 1 to 1.5 hours depending on what you need.

I’ve helped students through peer mentoring in Math, Physics and Chemistry, taught SAT Math to international students, and I currently work as a programming mentor/TA, so I’m used to explaining things in different ways until it clicks.
