About Laasya
I am a dedicated and approachable math tutor who believes that every student can succeed with the right guidance and support. With a strong background in mathematics, including advanced coursework through Calculus, I understand the challenges that students can face when learning new concepts.
I take the time to understand each student's needs and adapt my explanations to their individual learning style. Rather than simply providing answers, I guide students through problems step by step so they develop the skills and confidence to solve similar problems independently.
Whether a student needs help with homework, wants to strengthen their foundational skills, or is preparing for an upcoming test, I provide patient, organized, and personalized support. My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and improving over time.

My approach to tutoring is centered around understanding the “why” behind each concept rather than simply memorizing formulas or following steps. I break difficult problems into smaller, manageable pieces and explain concepts in multiple ways until the student finds an explanation that makes sense to them. I also encourage students to ask questions and make mistakes, because I believe that working through confusion is an important part of learning math.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material and a discussion of what the student is currently struggling with. We then work through a few examples together, gradually moving from guided practice to problems the student solves independently. I finish by reviewing the key concepts and identifying anything that should be practiced before the next lesson.
What sets me apart is that I focus on adapting my teaching to each student's individual learning style and pace. I want students to leave each lesson not only knowing how to solve a problem, but understanding why their solution works.
I tutor students in elementary, middle, and high school mathematics, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and calculus. I can also help students prepare for tests, complete homework, strengthen foundational skills, or work through challenging topics at their own pace.
