About Solomon

My name is Solomon, and I’m a Grade 10 student in Brisbane who enjoys math and science and likes helping others understand them better. I’ve always done well in these subjects, but more importantly, I know what it’s like to feel stuck or confused and need someone to explain things differently.

I want to tutor because I genuinely enjoy seeing things “click” for people. I’m patient, easy to talk to, and I explain concepts the way I would want them explained to me — clearly, step by step, and without rushing. I try to make lessons relaxed but focused, so students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

I take tutoring seriously and always come prepared, but I also keep things friendly and approachable. My lessons are best suited for primary and junior secondary students who want extra support, clearer explanations, or more confidence in math and science.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is focused on clarity, confidence, and building strong foundations rather than memorisation. As a high-achieving Grade 10 student, I understand what students find confusing and how concepts are actually assessed in school. I break topics down step by step, explain ideas in simple language, and use examples that relate directly to what students see in class and on tests. Lessons are interactive, with regular check-ins to make sure the student truly understands before moving on. I also help students develop effective study habits, problem-solving strategies, and confidence in their own thinking.

Standard lesson duration is 60 minutes; longer sessions of up to 120 minutes are available if required, allowing students enough time to review content, work through questions together, and practise independently with guidance. I can assist with homework, test preparation, concept revision, or getting ahead of classwork.
