About Matthew

Hi, my name is Matthew and I am currently studying Dentistry at the University of Queensland. I have over 5 years of tutoring experience working with students from primary school through to senior high school, including students preparing for competitive entry into medicine and dentistry.
Having achieved 97th percentile in the UCAT and successfully completed interviews for multiple medical and dental schools across Australia, I understand both the academic and interview preparation process in depth. I graduated as Dux Proximus from a science-specialized selective high school and have a strong passion for helping students achieve their goals with confidence.
I enjoy creating a supportive and motivating learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing independent problem-solving skills. My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual strengths, weaknesses and learning style to help them improve effectively and build long-term confidence in their studies.

About the lesson

I am currently a dental student at the University of Queensland with over 5 years of tutoring experience teaching students from Year 1–12. I offer tutoring in maths, chemistry, biology, physics, UCAT preparation and MMI interview coaching for medicine and dentistry admissions.
I achieved 97th percentile in the UCAT and have extensive experience attending and preparing students for interviews across Australian medical and dental schools. I also graduated as Dux Proximus from a science-specialised selective high school.
My teaching style focuses on building strong foundations, improving problem-solving skills and tailoring lessons to each student’s learning style and goals. I simplify difficult concepts into easy step-by-step methods and provide personalised strategies, practice questions and exam techniques to help students gain confidence and achieve high results.
Lessons are available online or in person and can range from 1 hour to 3 hours depending on the student’s needs and study goals.
