About Kat
I am a student at the University of Toronto, with a double major in English and Sociocultural Anthropology, and a minor in History. With a finishing average in the high 80s since grade nine, I know the skills required to earn the grades you want, and I believe that every student has the ability to ace a class. I work in child care and so have extensive experience with children from ages 4-17, and have gone through the ins and outs of high school recently enough to remember how difficult it can be. I’d love to help either you or your child learn the necessary skills not only for academic writing, but the day-to-day writing that is crucial to life in the adult world. My lessons are held remotely, and I take pride in varying my technique from student to student. I believe that everyone learns differently, and am passionate about taking the time to adapt to each new learning style I meet. My areas of focus include critical analysis, classic literature, creative writing, and academic writing skills. Together we will look over assigned readings, practice analysis with similar texts, and learn the ins and outs of writing analytically. I am here to teach my students that literature is not only necessary, but fun. There is a lesson found in every book, and together we can find and apply it to our lives
