About Kyera
Thanks for reading! I'm a 30 y/o born in the United States. As you may see, based on my work experience I have many different interests. In college, I studied Political Science and Pre-Law while also working in different Law Firms as a legal assistant. For many years, I pursued the idea of going to law school. But once I graduated college, I realized I wanted to travel the world. Thankfully, the last 5 years I've been happy taking it easy and traveling as much as I can whilst maintaining other interests such as teaching yoga and working in commercial acting. My biggest lesson in life as been not too put too much pressure on myself and look out for my happiness rather than what career I can have to define who I am. It works for me! Tell me about you!

It's essential to have a very fun and engaging lesson planned for a student, but like the student, I want to see results in their progress! I have a very versatile style of teaching. In order to discover what works best for a particular student I will provide a needs analysis at the end of our first chat. For our second lesson and further, I will have prepared a personalized lesson for them. I find that adjusting my methods to best fit the student's level of comfort typically results in more productive work. Some students prefer a more conversational style of learning- with that, I can provide various topics to for the students and myself to carry a full conversation, along with some vocabulary words to practice with during or after the lesson. If a student prefers more of an assessment style of teaching, we can focus more on short exercises for the student to primarily solve and receive immediate feedback. And if a student wants just a simple laid back conversational, that's ok too!
