About Lila
With more than 7 years of tutoring experience and a Master’s in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, I help students understand corrosion from both a scientific and an engineering perspective. We look at how metals corrode, why, and how this process can be slowed—or even prevented—through smart chemistry. I specialise in teaching electrochemical corrosion, passivation, cathodic protection, and the use of innovative materials in high-risk environments. We also explore real-life corrosion failures and what they teach us about environmental influences and design errors. My lessons are grounded in both academic theory and practical relevance. I use detailed diagrams, case studies, and interactive discussion to ensure students can visualise and apply each concept. Whether you're studying chemistry or working towards a technical degree, I’m here to help you connect your learning to the real world.

In our chemistry lessons, we unlock the molecular mechanisms that keep organisms alive. Focusing on the structure and interaction of macromolecules like proteins, carbohydrates, and fats, we approach learning as an exciting investigation—not just study. We use real-world scenarios and case studies to explore enzyme regulation, energy cycles, and molecular signalling in cells. With each concept, I offer logical explanations and relatable examples to bridge the gap between chemistry theory and biological relevance. I tailor every lesson to your specific learning needs—whether you’re preparing for advanced coursework, standardised exams, or undergraduate research. You’ll develop both knowledge and confidence. These sessions are designed to cultivate curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper respect for how chemical processes shape life. Together, we’ll break down complexity and build your skillset step by step.
