About Richard
Having struggled through school growing up, I spent many years studying Electrical Engineering and Youth Work. With a background working in IT and as a youth worker, I have now found my passion working as a Teacher Aide, raising three boys along the way. I currently work at a high school, working with complex and neurodiverse learners, having started teacher aiding at a primary school over seven years ago. I enjoy keeping up with best practices such as Structured Literacy Programs, Assistive Technologies and ways to engage and make learning fun. I enjoy challenging myself to unlock learners' achievement.

i am experienced at developing lessons around your or your child’s interests and goals, drawing from a strong practice in Structured Literacy Programmes and practical, fun ways of learning math.
I have experience supporting struggling learners from primary school right through to high school level.
I work hard to keep learners engaged, having worked with neurodiverse learners and other struggling learners. I am currently a Teacher Aide at a high school and previously worked at a primary school.
I am passionate about accelerating struggling learners to reach their potential.
