About Damien
I started teaching Maths after my partner’s sister repeatedly failed her GCSEs. Working with her, I realised that not everyone thinks the same. It wasn’t that she was any less capable, she just needed more time to understand things in her own way and someone to guide her through it. Because I’m not a Maths teacher, my approach is different—I work through problems alongside students, working the answers out together. This collaborative approach means that students develop the ability to think for themselves and gain confidence in their own abilities, so they can pass their exams.
