About Thipisa

I have done my A levels at Kings College London Mathematics School, a highly selective 6th form run by Kings College London University. Here I did A levels in Maths, Further Maths and Physics as well as an As in Computer Science. I received A*s and As in these. I studied from year 7 to year 11 at The Tiffin Girls' School a highly selective grammar school where I did my GCSE and achieved 8 9's and 2 8's as well as an A in FMSQ Additional Maths. I am well experienced with exams having done them myself as well as tutoring and I understand the difference a great tutor can make to the success of any student. That is why I strive to provide the best education possible and do my best to bring out the best in every student.

About the lesson

I have over 3 years of tutoring experience from Year 1 to Year 13 where I've assisted students with diverse needs and academic ambitions, ranging from mastering the basics to conquering advanced concepts. My expertise extends to a wide array of examinations, including 11+, SATs, GCSEs, and A-levels. I've helped students navigate the complexities of these exams with confidence and success. My approach to teaching is to break down complex concepts into digestible chunks, using real-world examples and analogies to make abstract ideas more concrete. I try to focus on developing an understanding of the topic rather than focus on memorisation. I try to achieve this by focusing on gaining a conceptual understanding and then using this to allow the student to work through problems. This paired with frequent questioning and ensuring understanding of every step works to guarantee success.
