About Maria
Hello! My name is Maria and I'm from Chile, South America. I'm currently studying for a Master Degree at Queen's University of Belfast, UK. The MSc is about Leadership for Sustainable Development, which I'm very passionate about. Previously in Chile I studied Business Administration at Adolfo Ibáñez University and I also have 5 years of relevant work experience in Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods in commercial and marketing positions.
I've always been passionate about teaching. I worked as a volunteer for 6 years teaching math, spanish and other topics to children and teenagers. So I'm a very patient person, who creates a comfy environment, where the most important issue is the person who is learning.

My methodology will be focused on active teaching, which means, students are fully involved in their learning, respecting the rhythms and development of each person. Leading activities that promote exploration, analysis and practical knowledge.
The typical length of a lesson is 1 hour, and I'll be preparing class to intermediate level students, but if you think you are a beginner please feel free to join, you're more than welcome.
I worked as a volunteer for 6 years teaching math, spanish and other topics to children. I also worked as a Math Tutor for high school children, supporting students while they were preparing their exams.
