I tend to teach by showing the student the problem, breaking it down into a series of steps, solving the problem and then allowing them to try to solve the problem by themselves with my help.
I create a schedule of what needs to be discussed based on the curriculum of the student, or even allowing the student to ask questions they need help on that day.
