Hello! I’m a recent high school graduate, currently in college for economics. I graduated second in my class and am looking to help some students by using the same study tools and techniques I did!

About Ava
I have taken Calculus 1 and 2 starting my sophomore year of high school through the University of Pittsburgh, and I took Statistics through the same university my senior year. I passed all with A’s and I graduated second in my class! I have picked up really great studying techniques along the way, and would love to share my knowledge with current students.

I’m a big proponent of the concept of practice over study, especially when it comes to math. Students can share some of the problems/ material they are currently working on, and I will start by giving a general overview of the course concept to them, followed by a walkthrough of a couple example problems. After this, I will allow the student to attempt the questions on their own. As for exam prep, I will ask students to focus largely on practicing the material they have reviewed in class, as well as more extensively go over problems they do not fully comprehend.
