About Melanie
Hello! I am Melanie and I am a high school student, in tenth grader. A fun fact about me is that I used to do gymnastics. Now, I sing, act and play the sport lacrosse. I love helping kids and teaching students. I used to tutor students from Guatemala how to speak English and I have helped family members with tutoring as well, so I have well enough experience. My goal is to make students feel secured in their learning.

As stated earlier I would be teaching online and not traveling. I would be teaching through the app zoom, and I would be willing to teach through GoogleMeet. In my lesson I would first start out with an icebreaker so that the student and I would be able to connect and know each other more. Then I would proceed to starting with a lesson, whichever topic the student needs help on, and show them my screen to teach. After that I would give the student practice problems or a worksheet and help them with the problems. Once the student has completed the problems, to test their knowledge I would have a fun game, activity, or challenge. I prefer teaching students from grades 2-8!
