I have taught English in Korea, I have also taught English to immigrants who had recently arrived in Canada. I am kind and love multiculturalism. I enjoy learning from my students as much as I love teaching English. : )

My teaching methods include creating lessons that my students are interested in, to encourage student participation without interruption.
I believe in positive feedback and not focusing on errors.
A typical lesson plan would be :
To review previous lesson
Ask student for feedback
Discuss any confusion or issues
Introduce "three words of the day"
Go back to previous three words of the day and revisit meaning, pronounciation and ask questions about "the words"
For example: Can we put the 1st word in a sentence?
Is 'that word' easy to remember?
I would then ask if the student wants to listen to a short story, news article or a poem.
When they decide, I will read and ask a few questions about the subject. I would ask on a scale of 1 - 10, how much they liked it. I will use their feedback to understand their interests, challenges, etc
