About Jimin
Although I completed the MYP program in middle school, when I first entered the IB, I struggled to adapt to the heavy workload, and my grades were not as high as I wished. However, through self-directed trial and error, I mastered the core concepts of each subject and effective IB study methods, allowing me to consistently overcome my internal assessment scores and achieve a Predicted Grade of 44 (Highest in the cohort) and a Final Grade of 43 (Highest in the cohort). I will share all the know-how I gained while studying these subjects. The subjects listed below are all my favorite subjects, and because I maintained high scores in them for two full years, I have an extremely high level of understanding of the subjects and confidence in teaching students

Hello. I am Kim Ji-min, IB 13. I am posting this tutoring announcement to offer help, as I believe the upcoming vacation is a great time to improve grades. IB Finals 43/45 (Highest score in the cohort) University Acceptance Status Yonsei University, Underwood International College (Currently enrolled) Sogang University, Business Administration Sungkyunkwan University, Global Economics Hanyang University, International Studies National University of Singapore, Chemical Engineering Griffith University (Bachelor of Medical Science + Doctor of Medicine Integrated Program) Currently in the process for other Australian Medical Schools Introduction Although I completed the MYP program in middle school, when I first entered the IB, I struggled to adapt to the heavy workload, and my grades were not as high as I wished. The subjects listed below are all my favorite subjects, and because I maintained high scores in them for two full years, I have an extremely high level of understanding of the subjects and confidence in teaching students. Subjects and Grades 1. English B HL (Final & Predict: 7) Sole 1st place in rank for 2nd semester of 2nd year, 1st semester of 3rd year, and 2nd semester of 3rd year IO: 29 points Final Exam: 98/100 (Highest score in the school) English B is one of the subjects I find most interesting and am most confident in, having achieved sole 1st place for 3 consecutive semesters out of 4. While it is easy to score a 6 in this subject, simply being good at English is not enough to consistently achieve a 7. I accurately understand what the subject demands of students, how the marking criteria are structured, and what elements 'trap' students. I have also perfectly mastered the skills needed to achieve high scores. I possess such a high level of understanding that even my school teachers ask me to help review exam papers after my graduation, and they mention me during class. I highly value practical experience, and I will conduct classes by structuring texts and solving problems with the student, complementing weak points, so they can internalize the skills for high scores. 2. Math AA HL/SL (Final & Predict: 7) Final Exam: Highest score in the school Within the top 5 in all semesters from 1st semester of 1st year to 2nd semester of 3rd year Finished internal assessment with 2nd place in 1st semester of 3rd year 3rd year Paper 1 average: 100/110, Paper 2 average: 104/110 Math AA is an infamous subject known for being one of the most difficult among IB subjects. However, it is also a subject where grades can be consistently improved through proper understanding of concepts and repeated problem solving. The reason I was able to maintain high scores without significant fluctuations in Math was not due to cramming, but rather consistent problem solving and thorough concept review. Classes begin with concept review, followed by repeatedly solving various types of problems, focusing on supplementing the student's weak areas. In addition, I provide tips on how to efficiently solve complex problems and techniques to save time in the examination hall. Especially since P2 and P3 are calculator exams, I provide thorough guidance on how to use the calculator to help manage time efficiently. 3. Chemistry HL/SL (Final & Predict: 7) Started with a 5th grade in Chemistry, then improved to 2nd place in the 2nd semester of 2nd year, and 1st place in the 1st semester of 3rd year. I gradually raised my scores, finishing the internal assessment in the 1st semester of the 3rd year with an overwhelming score of 1st place, 100%. I consistently received high scores on exams, to the extent that my school teacher would re-check for errors in the question if I made a mistake. In Chemistry, problem-solving skills only become meaningful when supported by a perfect understanding of concepts, and the combination of these two elements is required to achieve desired results. Appropriate memorization and understanding are essential, and I will use my know-how to accurately pinpoint which parts need to be memorized and understood. Classes will efficiently guide students to improve their grades by thoroughly conducting concept lessons using core notes, diagrams, and textbooks that I personally compiled over a long period, followed by sufficient repetitive practice problems.
